Our mission

The Legacy Home Mission will provide a bridge from addiction back into mainstream society. The people coming through Legacy Home will come from multiple sources. Homeless shelters, behavioral health referrals, law enforcement, probation officers and other entities in the recovery community of Pickens County.

The Legacy Home provides the following:

  • A robust recovery program based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous providing key insights and spiritual training for addicts in early sobriety.

  • Housing, transportation, meals, and assistance in navigating the administrative challenges of re-entering mainstream society.

  • Assistance in achieving employment in the local community. This assistance includes engaging in employment services, training in basic employee behavior, transportation to and from work.

Purpose

The purpose of The Legacy Home is to build an environment where men suffering from substance use disorder can learn the skills to stay sober through the execution of spiritual principals reflected in the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. This learned set of spiritual principles will build a foundation for the clients of The Legacy Home to rebuild their families, careers, and reputation as a productive member of society.
